Who do you help?
Hi! I am Julia. I work with children who are complex communicators, including AAC users, who may not yet have a reliable or functional way to express themselves. Many of the students I support have significant communication challenges, and I’m especially drawn to helping them find a voice in ways that feel meaningful and empowering. I love building connections with these children and supporting their families as they navigate communication together
How do you work?
My approach to therapy is rooted in connection, consistency, and real-life communication. I believe that every child deserves access to language, and that communication is more than just speech—it’s about being understood and having a way to share your thoughts, wants, and personality. I focus heavily on aided language stimulation and modeling, and I strive to make sessions engaging, functional, and individualized. I also love integrating creativity and innovation into my work, including developing AAC tools like Modeling mAAgiC to better support both learners and communication partners.
A little about you
Outside of work, I’m a busy mom to three young kids—a four-year-old daughter and 18-month-old twin boys—which gives me a deep appreciation for the chaos and joy of everyday life. I truly love what I do and feel grateful to support families on their communication journey. If you’re looking for support or just want to learn more, I’d love to connect with you.
Fun Fact
I also manage Communiverse’s social media and love sharing ideas, resources, and real-life therapy moments with the community!
